Child safety standards
Miftahi has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including grooming and any sexual content involving minors.
Report a concern
In the app, open the person's profile or chat and tap Report. Or email us straight away at miftahiapp@gmail.com. A person reviews every report. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number first.
What we do
- Miftahi is for ages 13 and up. Sign-up asks for a birth year first and blocks anyone younger.
- Messages can only be sent between friends, and every chat is filtered for offensive words.
- Anyone can be blocked or reported from their profile or a chat, without leaving the app.
- Learners are told never to share or ask for personal details, photos or social media, and never to arrange to meet.
- Any content or behaviour that sexualises or exploits a child leads to immediate removal of the account. We remove such content as soon as we know of it, and report it to the relevant authorities, as the law requires.
- We follow the child safety laws that apply to us and cooperate with law enforcement.

From our Terms of Use
Community rules
Everywhere in Miftahi (messages, clan chat, names, bios, statuses, clans, gift notes and reports), you agree to: be kind; use clean language, with no swearing, insults, slurs or hate in any language or spelling; never bully, harass, threaten or keep contacting someone who does not want it; keep personal details private, never sharing or asking for addresses, phone numbers, schools, passwords, photos or social media, and never arranging to meet; post nothing sexual, violent or encouraging self-harm; respect the Holy Qur’an, Islam and every person's beliefs; send no spam, advertising, scams or requests for money; and never pretend to be someone else. Messages can only be sent between friends. Clan leaders and elders help keep their clan within these rules. The full rules are in Settings, Community rules.
How the rules are enforced
An automatic filter hides blocked words in chats. Each time counts as one rule break (at most one an hour), and so do three reports about you from different learners in one week. You get two warnings. After that, chat pauses: for 24 hours at the third rule break, 7 days at the fourth, and 30 days each time after. While chat is paused you cannot send messages, friend requests or clan invites, but you can still read, learn and use the Holy Qur’an. Rule breaks stop counting after 90 days. You can see your standing, and why, in Settings, Community rules.
A person reviews reports. Serious harm, such as threats, sexual content or targeting children, can lead to a longer restriction or removal of the account without warnings. If you think a decision was wrong, ask for a review in Settings, Ask for help, and a person will look at it.
You can block or report anyone. Blocking removes the friendship and stops all messages at once. Please do not file false reports; repeated false reports can limit your own account.
