MiftahiDelete your Miftahi account
You can delete your Miftahi account, and everything stored with it, at any time. There are two ways.
Fastest
In the app
- Open Miftahi and tap your Profile, then the Settings gear.
- Tap Export & storage, then Delete Account.
- Type your password to confirm. Your account and its data are deleted straight away.
Without the app
By email
No longer have the app? Email us from any address with your @username. A person will confirm the account is yours, for example by asking about something only its owner would know, and then delete it. We do it within one month, and usually much sooner, and we email you when it is done.
Before you delete
- Cancel Miftahi Go in your app store. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription. On iPhone: Settings, your name, Subscriptions. On Android: Google Play, your profile picture, Payments & subscriptions, Subscriptions.
- Keep a copy if you want one. In the app, Settings, Export & storage, Export all my data downloads everything we hold for you.
- Deleting cannot be undone. Your progress, streak, XP, items and friends cannot be brought back.
What is deleted
Everything on our server: your sign-in, profile, progress and XP, streaks and badges, friendships and blocks, messages, clan membership and clan chat messages, gifts, items you bought with XP, purchase records, event progress, safety records, reports and help requests. If you lead a clan, leadership passes to another member.
What is kept, and for how long
- Copies in our hosting provider's backups, for a short time until they are overwritten.
- Records the law requires us to keep, such as purchase records for tax, for as long as that law requires.
- Records of actions the app owner took in the admin tools, kept for security and never shown to other learners.
- Crash reports, for up to 90 days. They never include your name, username or messages.
- Help emails already delivered to our inbox, until you ask us to delete them.
